* Flood Warning for
The 102 River at Maryville.
* from late Tuesday night to Thursday evening.
* At  7:30 PM Monday the stage was 8.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Wednesday morning and continue
to rise to near 20.1 feet by early Wednesday afternoon. The river
will fall below flood stage by Wednesday before midnight.
* At 18.0 feet...The east bank of the river floods. Water also
approaches the village of Arkoe.

* At 19.0 feet...State Route 48 on the east and west sides of
Rosendale is under water.
* At 18.0 feet...State Route 48 on the east side of Rosendale is
overtopped by flood waters.
* At 13.0 feet...Lowland agricultural flooding begins.

* At 21.0 feet...Riverfront Park in St. Joseph begins to flood.
* At 19.0 feet...Backwater from the Missouri River floods property
along the Nodaway river at Nodaway, Missouri.
* At 17.0 feet...Lowland flooding upstream and downstream from St.
Joseph occurs.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Kansas and Missouri, including the following
areas, in Kansas, Atchison KS, Doniphan, Johnson KS,
Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami, and Wyandotte. In Missouri,
Andrew, Atchison MO, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass,
Clay, Clinton, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison,
Holt, Jackson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Platte,
Putnam, Ray, Sullivan, and Worth.
* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Tuesday evening
* Several rounds of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are
expected this evening through Tuesday afternoon. Total
rainfall amounts of one to four inches will be possible
during this period. This rainfall will fall on already
saturated soils, increasing the potential for flash flooding.
* Low-lying and flood-prone areas will be most susceptible to
the dangers of flash flooding. Areas near rivers, creeks, and
streams will likely become flooded during and immediately
after heavy rainfall.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
